When TPMS sensor dies...

given they last 5-12 years, i won't be surprised if mine dies any day.

I was wondering if I can just slap on 4 new sensors and car will just learn the new sensors by itself (OEM sensor)

my old chrysler did that, but recently learned hyundais need dealer to "set up" or "pair" TPMS sensors.

when you swap, it will read a ridiculous amount.
drive a few short blocks and it will recalibrate and pick up the correct reading.

Agree with justnspace for older TPMS models. Some of the newer ones do require a visit to the dealer for synchronization. I have a second set of rims for my dedicated snow tires. I bought a second set of TPMS sensors had them put on and was all set after a couple of miles.
