When should you replace the TMPS ? if ever?
Does the dealership/tire stores push you to replace the Tire pressure sensors when you get new tires? Are these Tire pressure sensors apart of the cars original warranty? Curious if this is really something critical to replace. I mean if its mandatory then no problem. Any suggestions on the best prices for OEM tire pressure sensor equipment, if this is the case?
What is recommended? New TMPS or a replacement/rebuild kit?
Thanks!

The original sensors should last 7-10 years so no need to do a replacement until they stop functioning properly.
Tire shops need to take special precautions when removing the tires, eg remove the sensor nut and let it fall inside the tire before starting removal, unless they are the strap on units that are used by Ford. Some tire shops just like to do it as fast as they can, so by having the customer purchase new units, it not only saves them a few minutes per car, it's more money in their pocket.

Does Acura have documented information anywhere on the sensors? I will double make sure that who ever is replacing my tires understands that if they break the sensors that they will be paying for new ones... I just would like some documentation, in case they give me crap about it, to back it all up.
Thanks again!
