Wheels on WDP?

I have about decided on a WDP w/ quarts and navi. Now my new dilemma is the rims. Could anyone who has seen different wheels on a WDP (or just has a thought on the matter) please rank the following options, specifically on the WDP with full body kit:

- 18" OEM gun metal (A-SPEC)
- standard 17" TL wheels - chrome plated
- it looks best as-is
- after-market rims (I really don't want to go there)

I personally am not a big fan of the standard wheels. Unfortunately, that is all that I have seen on a WDP. I am thinking the 18" wouldn't look great on white, so I am leaning towards chroming the 17". Any inputs are appreciated.

when/if I get mine it will be the same color combo as yours(unless ofcoarse they deside to include ebony int on the 05s)and I think the a-spec wheel color is great on that WDP however it is more sporty than classy but judging by your int choice it looks to my like you like sporty. I think w/tint the wheels would look great.and I'm w/ you I really dont like the stock ones grey or chomed and going aftermarket looses some class to your ride

My dealer in FLA has a WDP outside with the 18" gunmetal rims and it looks pretty sporty. The car is bright (IMO) but the wheels are darker (dark gray) not totally black like you might think. I think it looks pretty cool.

Here are two quick pictures of my TL with ASpec package -- Sorry the pictures are really bad, didnt have much time to take the pictures. The vehicle looks alot better with the A-SPEC wheels in person- My advice is to find a dealership that has the WDP with A-Spec wheels and place it next to a TL with stock wheels - You will see the difference.

I ordered the WDP w/ NAVI and AT w/ parchment interior. Was also thinking about getting different rims than the one's that come w/ the vehicle. I kinda like the 18' A-Spec rims, not sure what they would look like chromed on the WDP though. Not wanting to make it look like a wanna be rap star car. Would like class and sophistication enhanced by rims. Just my 2 cents.

By the way yield2s, sweet pictures, nice ride and if that is your gf, she is pretty hot. Would love to see more pics of both! LOL

Take care guys.

I have a WDP/quartz 5AT with navi, and as far as rims go, I think the 19inch A-Spec rims will look wonderful on a full spoiler kit vehicle with a tint. Make sure you get yourself a ceramic tint or somethign that doesnt intefere with the navigation though... As soon as my car gets back from the dealerships, I will post some pictures of my vehicle.

THe only problem is that they are 7.5" wide .. not 8.5" like the A-spec TL rims.

I think those rims above look quite awesome, and thanks for the response Lokius. Look forward to seeing the pictures of your car!! So window tint can affect the Navigation system?

just my opinion, but I don't like the grey wheels on the wdp TL. I would never get them on mine. Chrome looks better, but there's no chrome on this car, and I don't think it works. you gotta find the right wheel, and I'd much rather like a polished wheel than a chrome wheel...not easy, but in my case the stock wheel is just fine. Hell, I'll be trading it in in another two years anyway....gettin' the new RL or the next iteration of the TL at that point.

Yea true, I agree, fiding and incorporating the right rims is a matter of personal taste. Not sure what a chrome rim would look like on a White Diamond Parchment car. I think the above rims look sweet, not sure if they are the right one's or not for WDP! Anyhow, to each their own, just don't want my car to look too wanna be thug or rap starish. More class and sophistication is on the plate for me. Just my humble opinion.

I just put some 18" chrome TSWs on my WDP. It looks really good in my opinion. I don't think that chrome in it's self makes the car look a certain way. It all depends on the style. IF I had a way to post pics I would but I don't know how. I just have to finish the car I am putting the splash guards painted to match back on the car and my lip spoiler should be in tomorrow.

I think a little bit o bling on the WDP would look nice! White would be hard to pull of with the pearl finish - chrome would be the new hottness for sure!

20% Platinum Tint -- The vehicle was purchased with the whole A-spec package springs were removed and replaced with stock springs after I complained to abonormal ride quality - I test drove a different A-spec with the service manager and the problem did not occur on that A-spec they reordered the springs I just havent had time to drop off the TL.
