Wheel sizes

I'm considering two different wheels and wondering if anyone knows how well they will fit. First is a 17 X 7 with 45 offset. Second is 17 X 7.5 with 50 offset. My 2000 TL has OEM suspension. Will there be any problem with rubbing or will the wheel stick out of the wheel well? The tire size would be 215/50/17. Thanks guys.

go with the 7.5" with 50 offset, i just bought 18, 7.5 47+ offset and i have no problems. if you are going to spend the money might as well be a whole inch wider than stock than just half an inch.

The minimum offset for a 7" wheel is +40, +45 for a 7.5" wheel. Either of those rims you listed will fit just fine with no rubbing, also will accomodate 215/50-17 tire within manufacturers specs.
Good luck.

i'd take the 7.5 wheel since you can mount some 225s on it (for more grip)...the offset is sufficiently high enough to prevent rubbing problems.
