Wheel size help
hello, recently I purchased 4 235/45r18 Michelin tires for a deal I couldn't pass up, what size rim would I have to get and not have any rubbing issue? I will be rolling my fenders.
i read about people having rubbing issues with this size tire.

I'd recommend 18 inch rims to be safe

I rather doubt you'll have any rubbing issues unless you're lowered; that said, your speedometer and odometer will both read low.

You bought tires before you bought wheels?
235 is fairly narrow. Unless you want to stretch, I wouldn't get a wheel any wider than 8.5 inches. Of course wheel width also depends on the offset of your wheels. Stock offset on all OEM wheels is +45.

you're gonna be stretching the tire. if you're not dropped it will look ugly.
you might think it was a good deal, but now it got you spending on wheels and now a drop and will turn out more expensive.
sell the tires!
you didnt have to do it...only if they were free. if they werent free you didnt get a good deal that you think you did

The sidewall of the tires you bought are one size too large. 3G TLs use 235/45 for 17s and 235/40s for 18s. Now you'll be using 235/45s for 18s.
As for width, you'll certainly stretch those tires on 9.5-inch wide wheels, but it's doable.

To be perfectly flush, and a perfectly fitting tire, you need an 18x8.5 +30 wheel.
As stated before, the tire is a bit tall, but it'll work just fine, and provide a better ride, along with giving you a lower look without actually lowering the car as much (taller sidewall).
I'm perfectly flush, and this is what I recommended compared to mine.

+35 would fit better for sure, but you're losing 5mm of concave, and that's a big deal to some. I think it depends a lot on the wheel myself. But yes, I'd choose +35 over +30 any day, gives me wider tire options .
