Wheel
One idiot 'friend' of mine was trying out my car yesterday, and while making a U turn, he hit the curb. The front driver side wheel was scratched against the pavement, and has ugly scratches and some little alloy pieces appear to have been chipped. I wanted to know if I would have to only replace the damaged wheel or would it have to be changed as a pair, i.e., both front at the same time. I see a number of wheels (rims?) being sold at ebay and elsewhere, but none seem to be brand new, and most are used. My car has less than 200 miles and I would hate to put a used wheel on it, and probably get problems later with the alignment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Welcome, I joined the board recently as well.
I would check the classified here "black market" and see if anyone is just selling one wheel. If you can't find anyone there and don't want to deal with ebay, I guess you have to go to the dealers for it.
You should just be able to get 1 wheel - It's always recommended to get tires in pairs but not wheels.

You could do that or try to get yours repaired.
Try some local place or something like:

I had my wheels repaired/refninished on my last car. Unless you would like to get all 4 done. You are running a risk that the paint on the refinish wheel might be different than the original factory paint.

As for the wheel, get you friend to pay for his stupidity and get a brand new wheel and they do not need to be changed in pair unless the other wheel is damamged.
Best regards

I got the alignment checked right away, but it is just the scratches. I may ask the person to share the cost of the wheel with me, as I doubt he did it intentionally. If I get a new wheel, I think the shine should be the same as others, as long as it is OEM, and the same type that comes from the factory. I hope that is what i get if I get it from the dealer.
I am selling one or more wheels here:
