What's the REAL Drop?
Lowering Springs for a 2007/2008 TL-S.
Seems to me that what the manufacturers predict in their fitment guides and what REALLY happens is a little different. I understand they are estimates:
Eibach Prokit says: ~1.0" all around.
H&R Sports says: ~1.4" Front & 1.3" Rear.
Based on what you've done and seen what is the REAL drop on these springs?
TIA.

Thanks Trance.
I think I've read on here that the Eibach actually drops the 3G a bit more than 1". Something between 1" and 1.5".
That amount sounds just about right to me.
With H&R now having a Sport Spring for TL-S fitment, I just want to try and understand if the "1.4" F / 1.3" R" is really going to be, say, 2" Front and 1.5" Rear. IOW - is the H&R going to be "off" by a 1/2" or more?
If the H&R and the Eibach end up *about* the same amount of drop, then if becomes a quality/performance/value decision.

i have h&r sport springs only.
coilovers are the way to go
I want to change.
i think it's less than 1.4
I never measured but
if you measure a stock setup from the fender to the centercap we can compare.

Great idea. Thanks for the offer.
Front looks to be ~14 3/8" Rim Center to Fender
Rear ~14 3/4" Rim Center to Fender
That's a bone stock '07 TL-S.
BTW - got any full side-veiw pics with your drop?

^^
Cool man! Thanks.
That's pretty close to 1.4 inches to me.
Hope to have my springs on "pre" order early to mid next week. Just waiting to confirm release/BO availability - supposed to be shipping around the 15th.

The only time a claimed ride height drop becomes an issue is when you install a spring that is designed for one car on another car. Physically it may fit but different weights, engine sizes/weights, etc may cause a different drop than claimed.
