What are the most expensive wheels you've seen on a 3G TL?
Haha randommmm thread I know, but i'm kind of curious. The Lexus folk swear by their wheels (HRE,iForged,Rays,Auto Couture, &SWISS etc..) Just wondering...the most exp. I see are Volks...Kind of getting played out (IMO) I was saving up for a set of DPE's just to be original but other things came up.

This one dude with HRE's on his car.. wheels were worth about 6-7k alone.. sold them to a member here for like... 3k+.. with tires and mint condition.. I was too late to hop on it.. still thinking about it till this day... SIGH>...

It might have been a G35, but I remember seeing someone with Junction Produce Scaras on their car. I remember they said they got them for the exact reason you mentioned. They thought Volks were overdone, so they wanted something pretty rare.
When I bought my rims, I thought something similar since everyone and their brother had Volks, but I never heard of JP at the time. So I just went with Work. I still haven't seen anyone around my neck of the woods with Work wheels.

The most expensive wheels on a TL have been HRE's. They are more expensive than DPE, Volk, iForged, etc.
Junction Produce? Never heard of them. But then again, I'm not into the VIP scene.
Auto Couture? That dude has yet to post pics...believe it when I see it.

VIP cars are usually ugly cars that nobody takes seriously made into something halfway decent lol thats my look on it atleast. I never really bought into the whole VIP thing though...some of the cars are downright UGLY and the owner should be slapped haha

To me, expensive rims are only worth it if they're light weight and strong. I like Volks, I don't think they're played-out. Any other reason to plow down thousands of dollars on wheels is a waste money. Why would you want to roll around with expensive heavy ass rims and spend more gas to turn them? There are many lightweight wheels out there but you also have to be reasonable with the price. Some of the wheels mentioned here are just too rediculous in price. It's better spending that money on performance parts.

I'm going to go with some Japanese forged rims from now on.
No more of these custom made rims for me. They sure do look pretty though. I just think that these custom made rims should not even be priced that high.

Damn! Those 360 Forged wheels are straight Sex.. I wonder what the wife would think about dropping some hard cash on the CF 5ive.. gorgeous... Although starting at 1600 a wheel I could think of a few performance mods I would drop my dime for first!
