Cool maybe I will send him a PM but sometimes ebay sellers don't really know what they are talking about. Can anybody else tell me if these wheels will fit nicely on the TL? There is some note about FWD cars having rubbing issues in the TL section of the chart on the page. Can anybody tell me if I should expect rubbing?

If you lower your car, you'll rub.

You'll have to roll/flare your fenders to get it to fit right.

Yup... but really all I wanna pay for is a set of nice looking wheels. Normally I would not even consider these because they weigh 24 lbs, but I am not buying the TL for its performance so I don't mind if they slow me down a little

Oh I see. Thanks for the input. So should I just stick to 18's if I want to avoid rubbing after lowering the car?

you don't have to stick to 18s, 19s work too just don't get 350z/g35 fitment wheels if you don't want to mod your fenders. Get conservative offsets

Sorry for being a noob. Would a higher or lower offset be considered more conservative?

These come in +30, +43 and +48 and are 8.5" wide. Would any of these offsets fit properly with a drop?

+43 would be closest to stock fitment.

Meh. They would look better without the red stripe but even then they wouldn't look all that great. Too "Fast and Furious" for my taste.

Ok. Just bare with me for a minute as I am a super noob.

+43 is close to stock fitment. But, how flush is stock fitment? I want my rims (not these in particular just any rims I get) to be as flush as possible without rubbing. So what would be the best offset to make sure the wheels are flush or at least close to flush?

This is my advice, and it's what I tell everyone.....

If you plan on lowering your car, do that before you buy wheels. It's easier to plan wheels around a drop, than it is to plan a drop around wheels.
