VSA problem or Tire problem

After the break-in period, I'm trying to see what kind of beast the TL is and floored the gas at a traffic light... The tire spun for about 1 second before it launches... I have the VSA on and now I'm wondering if it's the tire problem (stock Michelin) or is it my VSA having a problem? Without the VSA however, it spins even more before launching... Anyone has insight?

It's a tire issue. The VSA is stopping the wheel spin by cutting power. It's doing it's job. I have the same issue in my 05. The stock tires have a long tread life, but unfortunately don't grip too well. I'll be switching over to soemthing with a little more gripping ability in the near future. There is a trade off though. Tires with better gripping power will not last as many miles as the stock touring tires on our TL's.

Thanks Prolanman... That ease my worries for a bit... Because my friend with 2G TL said he never had such problem... I am thinking of changing to a Pirelli, because I have good experience... Do you have any suggestion?
