OK so after having to cancel my order for the WORKEMOTIONS the offset was +30... according to everyone I spoke with it was just too darn wide... such a shame cuz I got a good deal on them too...

anyway here are the choices it is between the RJ Legend GT or the 5Zigen 5 Spoke Cast version of the FN-01 (FN01R-C)

CHOICE A - LEGEND GT (Black with red lip time attack style)


CHOICE B - 5Zigen FN01R-C (Bronze)

For me, I like the legends cuz I am not a gold/bronze person, and I like the legend design too.

Both are nice. It's a personal choice. why not get both

The bronze look, as well as the red ring is something you have to love. You can't just "like how it looks" online, and then buy it, and the novelty wears off later. That has to be "the look" you are going for with the bronze.

Bronze - sporty look, but you may wind up wanting something else after awhile if you aren't really feeling it and just trying it out

Legend GT's - stealth look for sure, but the red ring bugs me. I would have to paint over that if I got them. People say it can be done. Without red ring, they are monsters!!! With red ring, after awhile, you may get tired of the red ring.

But I would say they both look nice! You just happened to pick rims that have a 'personal preference" attached to them, no matter what other people say! If it was Legend Graphites vs Inspyre Graphites vs Raven Inspyres - that's different. But these two rims - bronze and red ring - that's strictly about what YOU like.

here is my reasoning, the gt's after some spirited driving will look awesome with the breakdust on it... the bronze will look gun metal... so both of them handle the breakdust very well...

I agree dark... its personal prefference, I wont lie, I have been leaning towards the bronze the entire time, but it doesn't hurt at all that the gt's only weigh half a pound more

I am gonna need alot of help here lol, whatever the result of this poll is before it ends tomorrow morning is what I am going with... so I am really letting you guys decide


PS. When I saw the gt's at the ronjon meet I was drooling, literally ron took them home with my dna on them lol... as for the 5zigens, my boy had them on his rsx in the flat black color and they looked aggresive

ill go with the legend the spokes on the 5zigen are too thin wont look right on a big car like ours maybe for a compact car

I vote 5Zigen; I suppose I'm among the minorities who would prefer 5Zigen over the Legend GT. I don't know bro, if you want that "time-attack" color scheme I would save up until I can get one of the Volk Time Attack wheels. Either way, I think both will look great on your black TL. Just my

Don't put the Bronze on the pretty black car. The Legend should look great.

With NBP you can go Black-on-Black and it looks great - like stealth - but it's flexible enough to go Chrome, Silver or GunMetal as well; but NOT bronze.


BTW - I don't understand why the RJ's at +32 are OK, but the Work at +30 are not. 2mm is that big of a deal? Or was the clearance on the +30 just *that* close?

well that would be a question for RONDOG, I just don't want to take a chance, but also keep in mind the legend gt are 18x8 +32 the workemotion are 18x8.5 +30... so it is more of a difference

I would love to get some peoples insight on this as the offer from the store is still on the table....

CAN 18x8.5 +30 be doable on a TL... guys running staggered setups respond

Yes!! 18x8.5 +30 with 235 tires can fit on our car. With the negative camber after you dropped the car, you should just clear it. If it rubs, just roll the back fender. It is easy and no big deal. Work wheel is so much better than both of these wheels.

^^Agreed, those spokes on the Rays Wheels aren't very appealing. Don't dare to get those.

If I were you, I would seriously save up to get these Volks. Patience is a virtue, and I think these wheels are more deserving for your car. My buddy bought these wheels for his 350Z; they absolutely turn heads.

Man your a tough guy to please. Your wheel choices are very discriminating - which is good! But if you wanted a classy set of wheels, then why are your two options a Bronze colored 5Zigen and Legend GT with the simulated time-attack color scheme. I would NOT consider those wheels as classy, but more on the pendulum of tuner inspired. If your really looking to add on classy wheels, then you'll have to dish out even more cash and go with the more higher tier wheel makers, i.e. HRE, Iforged, DPE, Neez or maybe even RJ Devotions.

I think Architectonic hit the nail on the head. If it's "classy" you're going for, I don't think either of your wheels choices fit that bill... both wheels are definitely more on the sporty, tuner side of the spectrum. With that said, between the RJs and the 5Zigens, to me, the RJs are the slam dunk choice. If you had a base TL, I could see you going the bronze route... but with all the smoked out accents on the TL-S, I think the black wheels enhance that stealth look.

^^^One more thing... IMO, those Volks won't look right on a mid-size sedan. Putting them on a RWD coupe is another story, but I don't think the TL or TL-S present *that* kind of sporty image...

I am running 19x8.5 32offset front and 19x9.5 42offset rear with 245 tire, and I have no problems. 18x8.5 30offset will have the same clearance as my 9.5 42offset at the back.

Calculated from the offset and width, 18x8.5 30offset is 77.95 cm from the hub to the outer lip of the wheel. 19x9.5 42offset is 78.65 cm from the hub to the outer lip of the wheel. So, your wheels will actually have .70cm more clearance than what I am running now.

They are just math and by doing some calculation. You can find out if they fit. Also, there has been few member on the forum running 8.5 30offset on their tl. YOu can do some search.

Get the Work, I have been running 2 set of Work and their wheels are top quality and I can say they are much stronger than Volks.

I would go with the Ronjon's. They are different and not a lot of people have them.. 5zigen's are plain and ugly, only because i know this one dude with a civic had them.. Also, with the skinny 5-spokes, it wouldn't look right on the TL.

The RJ GT is WAY better looking then those NASTY 5 Zigen's IMO.

The Volks cost way too much. The RJ GT is light enough and designed for your car.

Unless you have $$$ falling out of your @$$, the RJ GT will look great IMHO........
