'07-'08 Base rims shouldn't be used on a 3G with Brembo brakes. The wheel is closer to the caliper than clearance specified by Brembo. They will fit and not contact the caliper, but under spirited driving there may be a problem.

So you are saying the offset is different or unique to the 07-08 base rims??

That looks really good!! Maybe the color combination or the lighting of the pic but that looks really sharp.

It took me a bit to warm up to the "waffles" even though they came on my TL-S. Still much prefer my A-Specs, but am okay with the "waffles" now.

i think its the design.
the spokes almost touch the caliper.

it'll clear, as Ive seen it done. but for some it might be too close for comfort.

Waffles look really good on ASM/Anthracite imo.

What I'm saying is that the "spokes" come within a credit card thickness of the Brembo caliper, less than the Brembo recommended clearance, but a 3mm spacer will do the job.

Got it. So I guess there were no 07-08 6 Speeds or Acura is okay with the minimal clearance on the base models.

Not quite certain as to your statement, but there's not a problem on the '07-'08 base as they don't come with Brembos, and plenty of clearance with the single piston caliper.

What about the 18x8 aspec rims? they sit much closer to the caliper than the type S waffles. Howcome acura is okay with the aspec rims but not the 07-08 base rims? Unless you're saying the 07-08 base tl rims are really THAT close(not sure because I havent seen them in person with brembos yet)
Also, my current wheels(ce28 18x8.5 +4) are also very close, never had a problem though.

Sorry, it sounded right in my head when I was typing it. What I meant was either there are no 07-08 base 6 speeds or if there are, I assumed had the Brembos and Acura is okay with the minimal clearance.

Holy crap. I now see what people mean by "too close for comfort". Wow!
