Looks great What size tires are you using? I have a set ready for my WDP Type-S, but I'm still researching tires.

Looks good! Kinda confusing to find pics. They are in your gallery in your profile not our photo gallery sub section.

i agree with flappy188. the type-s rims look better IMO on KBP. but if you like them better then you should just keep them.

Dude, that looks SICK. And while everyone has their opinion, I think the A-Specs look 1,000 times better than the Type S rims. I could have paid another 5k when I bought my TL to get a KBP Type-S and now I wish I had. Very nice.

I'm using Toyo Proxes 4's with 245/40/18.

I love the A-specs, but I still like the Type S rims too. So I figured the best of both worlds would be to use the Type S rims as my winter rims with some nice winter Tire.

^^^That's a good compromise. I debated on getting different rims for my Type S, but in the end, I decided to stay with the OEM Type S rims. Those rims signify that your car is a Type S!!! The Aspec's look good too, but a lot of people have those, whether their car is a Base TL or not.

I still do like the stock rims, however it is the engine that seperates the men from the boys

I love my type-s rims. The type-Ssss are just ready to go car as is, dumped or not dumped. If you have the A-SPECS and the OEM type-s rims, then you are straight. GOOD TO GO!

PEACE!

Hope nobody minds a thread revival here, but this one matches the conclusion I came to for my wheels.

I started using winter tires a few years ago, and was immediately hooked. They gave me a much greater level of security driving in Chicago winters. AWD may be great for starting and accelerating, but only winter tires help with stopping.

When I bought my KBP in March, I decided to get dedicated winter wheels. Original plan was to buy a set of smaller, narrower, cheaper wheels, but from this forum, I learned that the Brembo brakes eliminated any such options.

For plan B, I considered base TL wheels or a second set of Type S wheels. But I’ve always had a thing for wheels with large open spaces, and after looking at many wheel pictures, the A-Specs just kept grabbing my attention. So my Type S wheels will become my winter wheels, and my new A-Specs are just waiting for an order of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s (245/40/18) to come in any day now!

Thanks for all the help from this and many other threads.

man the chrome aspec wheels are flashy and looks hot when the wheel is spinning. the type s o.e wheel is too small to me and its hard for other commuters to see the brembo's, and when it spins it look like a grey hubcap. just my opinion..

Well, 3.2 -> 3.5 is more like separating the boys from the teenagers, IMO.

I just got some Aspec installed on mine too, but mines are painted gunmetal. Did you or anyone else noticed the power loss. I guess that's the price you pay for better looks. Haha

OP, Nice wheels. Looks good
Type-S guys,
Trade me your OEM typeS wheels for my stockies and you can use those for winter.
IMO, I'll either go OEM typeS or Enkei's lightweight in gunmetal
I want to stick with 17's for various reasons

I use the Type-S OEM rims for my winter tires as well. running the RDX 19's with 245/35/19 Pilot Super Sports in the warmer weather. The Super Sports should last longer than the PS2's
