Dude, that looks SICK. And while everyone has their opinion, I think the A-Specs look 1,000 times better than the Type S rims. I could have paid another 5k when I bought my TL to get a KBP Type-S and now I wish I had. Very nice.

I love the A-specs, but I still like the Type S rims too. So I figured the best of both worlds would be to use the Type S rims as my winter rims with some nice winter Tire.

^^^That's a good compromise. I debated on getting different rims for my Type S, but in the end, I decided to stay with the OEM Type S rims. Those rims signify that your car is a Type S!!! The Aspec's look good too, but a lot of people have those, whether their car is a Base TL or not.

I still do like the stock rims, however it is the engine that seperates the men from the boys

Hope nobody minds a thread revival here, but this one matches the conclusion I came to for my wheels.
I started using winter tires a few years ago, and was immediately hooked. They gave me a much greater level of security driving in Chicago winters. AWD may be great for starting and accelerating, but only winter tires help with stopping.
When I bought my KBP in March, I decided to get dedicated winter wheels. Original plan was to buy a set of smaller, narrower, cheaper wheels, but from this forum, I learned that the Brembo brakes eliminated any such options.
For plan B, I considered base TL wheels or a second set of Type S wheels. But I’ve always had a thing for wheels with large open spaces, and after looking at many wheel pictures, the A-Specs just kept grabbing my attention. So my Type S wheels will become my winter wheels, and my new A-Specs are just waiting for an order of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s (245/40/18) to come in any day now!
Thanks for all the help from this and many other threads.

man the chrome aspec wheels are flashy and looks hot when the wheel is spinning. the type s o.e wheel is too small to me and its hard for other commuters to see the brembo's, and when it spins it look like a grey hubcap. just my opinion..

OP, Nice wheels. Looks good
Type-S guys,
Trade me your OEM typeS wheels for my stockies and you can use those for winter.
IMO, I'll either go OEM typeS or Enkei's lightweight in gunmetal
I want to stick with 17's for various reasons
