TPMS Sensor what do they do

can someone explain what TPMS sensors do and what happens if it don't have them. (btw i have a 05 base tl)

Your 05 doesn't have a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). If you had such a system it would have a sensor mounted in the rim inside each tire. The sensors transmit pressure readings to a receiver in the car. If tire pressures are outside of acceptable limits you get a warning.
