TPMS sensor transfer

So i called a honda dealership.

I need to transfer my TPMS sensors I have on my current set of
07 TL rims to a fresh BRAND new set of 07 TL rims (no sensors).

They said it is not recommended as sensors 'can be' damaged in
the process of removal and reinstallation. This would not be covered under warranty.

Is this the case??? are they just bolted down? i heard some are
glued.

Secured by a nut so they can just be transferred over to the new wheels, but sometimes a service kit is the best way to go, probably about $4 per wheel. Have transferred many over and not a problem, but occasionally a new seal is required.
Care must be taken when removing and installing the tires so as the sensor isn't damaged.

Might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Can the air just be let out of a tire and the sidewall be pushed in enough to change out a sensor without taking the tire of the rim?

If you don't know an answer, no question is stupid, this is how one learns. To answer the question, on the TL, you'll need to break the bead with a machine 180 degrees, or directly opposite the sensor. This way that part of the tire can be moved into the wheel indentation giving the necessary tire clearance over the sensor.
