TPMS question

Does anybody know if the sensors for 07 tl base auto will work on the 18x8 aspec wheels? Or is there a different part number for these?

the shop mounting the tires on the wheels said they wont work. i bought the sensors from tire rack for an 07 tl. they said something about there being too much thread left or something. are trw sensors just as good as the oem's?

^well if the sensors from tire rack say they'll fit an 07 base then they will for sure fit the aspecs.

idk what the guy is talking about at that shop.

When the sensor is placed in the wheel, the nut screws down all the way but is loose on the wheel(will not seal the air in). I called tirerack and they double checked the part number with what I had and it was the same. They also said even though it's made by trw, it's identical to what you would get from honda. The installer was supposed to be getting in-touch with tirerack and calling me back but never heard back today. I will have to follow up with them tomorrow.
Is there a shorter valve that can be substituted or what?

Are the 18x8 a specs from the 04-05 tl that did not run tpms and the 18x8.5 are for the 06-08? Is that possibly what the issue is?
Has anybody run the newer sensors on the older wheels that could chime in?
