I recently upgraded to 07 type s rims but they didnt come with tpms..now a tpms errors in on my dash...if i order a set of tpms to be installed,is it plug and play or do i have to go through some kind of calibration to the car's computer so the car can recognize the new sensors?

Get the correct sensors, break the tires down and install the sensors, rebalance and you'll be good to go.
Sometimes after installation, it takes quite a few miles before the system responds correctly.

I didn't have to do anything. I change my rims/tires over for winter and have never seen the light on my dash.

You were told wrong, at least with the TL.

Would I be able to put the tpms sensor that are on my 06 Acura tl oem rims. On my aftermarket rims? Is that possible? I was told if you use the same valves on the oem rims on your aftermarket wheels it will work. Is this true?

I actually was curious about the same thing. So we need to buy the sensor from the place we getting our wheels? Or should we have the sensors from our stock setup used (if possible)?

The factory sensors work fine, as would an aftermarket sensor that is made for the TL application. As far as the ability to mount them on an aftermarket wheel that would depend purely on the structure of said wheel. If the contours are not conducive to mounting the stock sensor at the valve stem hole, then an adapter needs to be purchased that would accommodate that sensor. Adapters are available to mount the sensors at the valve stem hole or with straps to the body of the wheel. Google TPMS adapters.

Having problems mounting oem sensors for 06 TL onto my Enkei Falcons. The rubber washer won't seal air leak because of the sensor angle postion.
Need to find other sensors in a straight postion in order for the rubber seal around the valve stem to fit correctly.. Anyone have manufacturer part #.? Tirerack has some but hate to pay UPS charges, anyone know what sensors they use? Thanks.

Why purchase new sensors? Just buy the correct adapters.

Never mind. Mechanic had trouble putting on sensor because the stem position locked up on him and he couldn't adjust it so leaking air. When i came home i unlocked the bolt for the sensor and now can adjust the valve stem fits great.

Only problem have is one wheel valve stem hole is smaller then other 3 wheels and valve sensor stem won't fit through hole. Very tight valve stem hole worried it may strip stem outer metal bolt.
I will wait and let a real tire shop put on the rest of my sensors and tires on the rims.
