i had them on my Evo MR. they are pretty good, offer decent grip, even in heavy rain (i got a chance to test them in the rain when i got them mounted). slip is manageable. only thing i dont like is the sidewall - too soft and has too much flex under heavy load. plus side is that it makes for an (obviously) softer ride. quiet in cruising. downside is that it numbs response (you cant easily make evasive lane changes with this tire, even at max psi) and makes handling "soft".

dunlops have stiffer sidewalls. if you compare the stock (say) michelins to a stock-sized Proxes 4 you will see that the Proxes 4 looks "fatter" than the OEM michelins.
i should know. when i park next to my brother's Evo MR (also using the Proxes 4), i can tell the difference. the stock Evo wheel+tire is identical to a stock TL. looking at the two, you would think the Toyo was more than 45-series.
when i initially got them (first set after the OEM Evo Advan A046) i was shocked to lose a LOT of straight line stability (the Evo drove softer, waay softer). i knew i already lost some grip and cornering ability, but the inherent stability of the Evo was lost. it pushed the envelope more towards ride comfort. Im pretty sure the TL is not as sensitive to tire changes as the TL as a whole is engineered more for overall combination of ride, comfort and performance. whereas the Evo, with a simple tire change, shows a noticeable difference.
overall i think this would be a good tire to substitute for the OEM Michelin (thats what i have). it is more forgiving and has a tad more grip compared to OEM tires. even at near max pressure, the Toyo will still ride soft, whereas OEM tires tend to be more stiff.

I have had good experience with Toyo Proxes over many years and will consider them when replacing my OEM tires.
I was pleased with them in all aspects on a previous "sport sedan", a Maxima.

Toyo Proxes 4
I got em back in December when I got my new rims.
I think they're a great tire. I had always bought Yokohama's after the OE tires were done, but this time I tried the Toyos' due to price and reviews that I had seen on the web.
I'm not dissappointed! They handle great and look great too.
