Tokico vs Koni Shocks if you have either please read...
Hey hey,
Was hoping to get some feedback from people here with the Tokico shocks and Koni shocks
i am looking to lower my car and i am prob going to get the Eibach prokit or Tein S tech springs
and im looking at shocks
the Koni Yellows are going to run me like almost $1000.00 tax in, but apparently the adjustable dampening is VERY worth it
but i got some pricing on the Tokico Blues at around $650
but after reading some random site, ppl are not liking the stiffness of the Tokico's, so im just hoping i can get some feedback with people using these shocks (both) ON TL's
what you think of them etc etc.
Thanks![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
oh and if anyone has pics of their car with a 1.5" drop if you could add that please, cuz i was looking at a 1.75" drop, but is it really that much of a difference?

look in the tire and wheel section of the forum. I posted today my car lowered 1.5" on progress springs on tokico hp blues. Ride is not harsh, and some ppl didn't even notice the ride changed at all. Untill I take a sharp turn and the car corners like a "race car". I got the shocks from Ebay from British Columbia a week after I ordered them. They are for an accord but excelerate told me it's the same thing (Installation went smoothly and nothing special has to be done to them because they are not for a TL) Also they are 120$ cheaper then the ones for a TL. I got mine for 410$ with shipping and all the taxes. Search up springman98 (ebay ID) and look for shocks for a 03-07 accord.
as for koni I don't know anything about those as I was not willing to pay 1000$ for shocks alone. I got quoted 1000$ as well

I got my neuspeed supercup kit from Excelerate$599 shipped, Konis Sp3 Shocks and neuspeed sport springs which are equal to 1.75F & 1.5R, and I got them set on the lowest perch which will be 1/2 inch lower, if you want to go lower you can get the neuspeed race springs for the same price and you will be at 2.25F & 2.0R.

Tokico blues shouldnt run you more than $400 shipped I don't know where you got your pricing from but I would look somewhere else or go with the supercups. If I would have known about the supercups I might have went that route instead of my H&R race springs with the blues.

I'm running Koni sp3 shocks and Tien s-tech spring. I paid $250 cad for my springs and $600 usd for my shocks. I bought my shocks from neuspeed web site, the kit came with shocks and springs(super cup kit) but I'm using tien springs and bought springs from a friend. I still have the neuspeed race springs. My setup is perfect, I love it. Ride is smooth but stiffer then stock. shocks are adjustable.

ok i may be asking fully Noob questions, but for that Neuspeed super cup kit, i see that its rated at 1.75F and 1.5R but how can it be LOWERED more, i think someone said you can put it at the lowest setting for 2.00, is that like an adjustment thing? or is there like another spring set you can get that is lower?
because yes being in canada, these retailers here are DESTROYING us for pricing. which is why im hoping Excelerate can hook up a good price and i can go pick them up in the states.
it seems that this Neuspeed super cup kit is the best price for value. and then if worst case, get new springs later down the line.

the koni sp3's have 5 differnt perch settings and you set them on the lowest perch than you would be sittting close to 2 inches around....if thats how low you wanna go make sure you specify you want sport springs because they come with race springs which are stiffer and lower you about 2.25 in the font and about 2.5 in rear.
