TL-S Front Sway bar question??
hey there, I have a 2006 TL base and am upgrading the sway bars! I'm getting the 07-08 type s front sway and progress rear sway. but my question is, when upgrading the base tl to the type s front sway what end links do I have to use??
Can I use the stock base model end links or would i need to buy the type s end links?
Thank You in advance
PS will post pics of my car soon. has a spec lip kit, abyss blue pearl and just waiting for my engine bay paint to dry today

You have to remove your sub frame to access the front sway bar. If you have a lift it'll be a little easier compared to laying on your back however it's still going to take some time.
Do you have a upgraded rear sway bar? The rear sway bar is very easy to replace and can be done in a hour or less. The front is going to take longer

i do have access to a hoist. how many hours roughly would you think for the front? and I am in process of purchasing the progress rear sway and was going to get them both done at once. I would like to know about the front end links also. do you need to get the 12mm ones and drill the hole from 10mm to 12mm? Thanks!!

^yes on the type-s front sway bar endlinks. And yes, LCA needs to be drilled out to the 12mm type-s endlinks. Can't remember how long it took me and a buddy, was a few hours anyway, and we didn't have a lift.

btw, I checked the part numbers for the 07 base TL and the TypeS and the part number is the same for both arms.. But on the 05 TL, the part # is different.
So, I was thinking the hole size is different for only the Type-S, but I now think that the difference must be for all TL's, the difference is between 04-06 and 07-08..
just guess though.

correction.. Type-S is the difference, which makes sense.. The part numbers are different between base and Type-S.. My computer didn't update when switching back and forth.
Type-S 51300-SEP-A21
Base 51300-SEP-A31
Type-S 51300-SEP-A21
Base 51300-SEP-A31
probably a drill bit would do it??
