I have stock wheels too. I got the bridgestones replaced by Yokohama AVS ES100. Everyone said they were pretty good high preformance tires for the price. Since you live in FL, you wouldnt probably have to deal with snow. The dry road traction with these tires is really good. The wet is decent (I saw a comparison somewhere....probably tirerack).

The very best tires you can get are IMHO are the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s, but you will pay something like $250 a tire.

Check out the numerous other threads, Pirelli PZero Nero, Falken 512s, and Toyo Proxes 4 are all very popular.

(I just ordered the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S for mine, but I need to be able to drive in snow once in a while. If I lived in Florida I'd get the PS2s.)

Damn Yokohamas! My car has 7500 miles on them and 2 of my rear tires are bald! They are pretty bad tires. I don't even drive it hard enough to wear out the treads. Today I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. They cost me $243/tire including installation & balancing. Not bad. I have yet to test them. Stay away from Yokohamas!

Its surprising that your rear tires wore out before the front ones (unless you rotated them). Since our car is FWD shouldnt the front wear out first? Was your car ever mis-aligned?

WOW $243 per tire. Where did you get them? Sorry to say but I think you might have gotten pinched a bit. BTW - I am digging my Pilot Sports, im sure you will too.

I had the same experience. Yokohama's wore out (rears worse) at 6500 miles. I bought Falken ST 115's 245/40/18 and they are quieter, less jaring and seem to have equal hold/traction as the Yoko's. The price can't be beat from discount tires $123 each plus shipping (but no tax).

Hey how much did you get your's for? I thought that this was an ok price. The Michelins are a lot better. The ride is smoother now with these tires. I had vibrations with the old tires but not any more. I am trying to fight the dealers regarding reimbursing me for the bad Yokos. I would get annoying vibrations when going at a speed of 60 mph or so. I know there's a bunch of threads on here about that issue! You would think that the front tires would go first but i guess the added weight gets shifted to the rear first. I would have the toughest times in the snow with the Yokos. I almost crashed my car driving in snow flurries...I mean they were really bad!
