Which tire would be best for A-Spec's
Hey guys....which tire do you think would look the best on 18 x 8 A-Spec wheels? I have an 08 WDP Type-S. Still a little unsure as to what size tire to get for them. I want something that is sporty, but also provides a nice smooth ride as well. There two brands I am looking at....
Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S Tires 235-40-18
Pirelli P-Zero Nero Tires 245-40-18
Goodyear Eagle F1 AS Tires 245-40-18
Right now I am leaning towards the Goodyear's as they have a little better rating and seem to do a little better in the snow as well. Any advice and help is appreciated. Just not sure what size to go with. Should I consider a 35 series? Wouldn't that be a little rougher ride as well? Not sure. Thanks guys.

if your gonna use your stock rims and tires for the winter i'd definitely go with a dedicated summer tires, you'll enjoy it more in my opinion, well depends on your driving style. Summer tires= better braking, better cornering, stability, better traction during the warmer climate but the downside is that they wear faster and shouldnt be used under 45 degrees. they also tend to be a little louder bu it all depends on the tires. i would do 235/40/18 imo you can also check out the nitto neo gen @ discounttire for about 23. each or the goodyear eagle f1 a/s for about 166. each

oh did you get the a-spec's already? even though they're hard to find if you dont have them as yet id try to get a set of the ultra rare 18x8.5 a-spec's my friend rex. also on this forum has a set for sale that he also had powercoated gold for sale. w/ the 18x8.5 i would def go with 245/40/18

Your probably gonna laugh but I've had some high hp cars and i've had the opurtunity to try a bunch of different tires but i'm SOLD on only one- KUMHO Extsa MX. They are way cheaper and better than any other performance summer tire i've run. They have good bead protection for your rims and the wet traction is unreal for a tire in its class. And they a re cheap to boot. Check em out on tire rack!

I would definitely recommend a set of 245/40/18's for the Aspec rims. For the look alone it's an improvement, it definitely gives the car a more aggressive stance. However, I'm currently on some Pirelli P Zero Nero's and the flatspotting has aggrevated me to the point that I'm ready for a new set of tires after only 10K miles. If you guys have any suggestions on some good high performance all season's please let me know...Thanks!

Not sure what's up with my car, but I currently have the A-Spec Wheels with 245/40/18 Yokohama Avids. The rear tires rub slightly when the car is fully loaded with passengers.

I had a set of Falken FK452 235/40/18 before I got the Yoko Avids. They fit perfect and had absolutely no rubbing under any condition. My current set up with the 245/40/18 Yoko Avids do rub at certain dips and whenever there's too much load in the rear. I would advise you not to get 245/40/18 tires, but my experience may be an isolated one.
