Tire size for A-spec wheels?

For the 18x8 A-spec wheels, which is recommended out of these choices?

Toyo Proxes T1-R 235/40/18

Toyo Proxes T1-R 235/45/18

Toyo Proxes T1-R 245/40/18

Toyo Proxes T1-R 245/45/18

Or does it not matter much? Thanks!

Thought the A Spec wheels were 18x8.5".
In any event I recommend 245/40-18.

Thinking about the width, I believe it was the early models that were 8.5", but if I'm wrong I'm certain someone will correct me.

^^it was only the first year in 2004 that they offered the 8.5" a-spec rims.

235/40 is the stock size. you can go with that or the 245/40. i'd go with the 245/40. the t1r's are good tires but there are a ton of tires that are cheaper. actually almost anything is pretty much cheaper than the t1r.

the 45 series are too big.

I'm using 245/40 on my Aspecs (18 x 8)

Love the look, def. provides extra rim protection

Thanks guys. Yea the 18x8.5 were the first ones released. They've since changed them to 18x8. I spoke with an acura dealer and they said the 235/40ZR18 is the factory sized tire they put on the a-spec wheels. Dunno what i'll go with yet...

Yea, only reason i'm going with the t1r is because I got a buddy who can hook em up for a really good price.

Just got my A-Specs this week and I'm trying to decide tire size too for my 08 Type-S.

Simple decision. If you want the stock look, height and width, get the 235. Many replace the OE tires with 245/45-17, so if you want a tire that is comparable, then 245/40-18.
Not an overwhelming decsion as the 245 is only .3" taller, and the width is dependant on the choice of tire, as with any size.

Go with 245/40/18. I'm swapping out 235/40/18 for 245/40/18 on 8.5" A-Specs.
