I have a 04 TL 6-Speed and need to get new shoes. Currently have my snow shoes on and tomorrow is April 1. This is what I am thinking of:
Upgrading to 255/40/17 and staying on OEM rim
1) Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
2) Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
3) Toyo Proxes T1r
Annually I only drive about 8K because my commute is so short and because I already have Dunlop WinterSport M3s for the Winter, I have a ton of flexibility. As with anything that has a lot a flexibility comes complexity.
So I'm looking to solicit thoughts and/or ideas from my fellow TLer's
Thanks,
Rob

Check out www.tirerack.com - it's the best tire site out there. You can make comparisons between any tires you want, read the ratings, and read user reviews of every tire.
Personally, I've been eyeing these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....nSpeedRating=V

Thanks I have been to Tirerack.com and have done a fair amount of comparison. I was just looking for confirmation / opinions from fellow TLer's. The tire you are looking at is a great one, but I don't need all season tires as I already have dedicated snows.
If you're looking for a pure summer tire, I'd look at Michelin PS2s. Since I live near San Francisco where it doesn't snow, I was considering these too. I'm a bit leary of the tire wear as I've heard they don't last all that long. They are very expensive too but since you don't drive many miles, they might be a good match for you.

Too much trouble to keep 2 sets for winter and summer...
