Various system functions.

Some car related, some Navi related.

BTW - You can touch the buttons and see what behind them. Just don't change anything unless you know exactly what you are doing (and I don't).

OH!, You Mean The "Tire Calibration" Button :tomato:

Sorry, I mis-understood.

I am not certain. Maybe something to do with setting tire revolutions per mile?

(Apologies for being a dumb ass before. Well, this time too I guess. )

it would be nice if we can input the size of the tires on the car that way the computer know what tires size is on the car and can calibrate it.

Calibrate what? The Nav will give you the time and distance to the entered destination.

This is what I think. Feel free to disagree....

The Nav compares the speed from the satellite and the car's speed sensor or ECU from time to time to calibrate itself. If there's a discrepancy between the speed sensor/ECU and the satellite, it will change the Tire Calibrate factor automatically.

This is useful when the Nav loses satellite signals and has to rely on the car's sensors, including the speed sensor, too keep track of the car's position accurately. Without calibration, the Nav won't be accurate whenever it loses satellite signal and if the car has larger or smaller overall tire diameter than stock.

I have an '05 model. It doesn't have the TPMS system. I do have the tire calibrate and accidentally pressed the set button tonight when I was messing around with it in the garage. I will know tomorrow if it messed something up or not.

It did change the level from 10 to 2 when I pressed SET.
