Thoughts on Axis Crux Rims 19X8 offset 45 5X114.3 with set of 4 Falken GRB-FK451

I am considering purchasing these rims and tires off a guy who has them brand new, but I can't seem to find any reviews on either the rims or tires. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this combination, or even each separately. Hes offering $2500 Canadian for them, so I just want to make sure im getting a good deal.

From what i know Falkens are good tires.... I have also heard that Axis are very good rims for the money. All being said, it is about whether or not you like tham and are comftorable with the price. Im not sure what that translates to in USD... I do think those would look good on a 3g TL... do you have the 5AT or 6MT? Although with 45 offset I think they will fit both...

Yea im not sure yet either. I have an '05 NBP AT. Im going to check these out later tonight and see how they look. I like the outer design, but the spokes are kind of strange. I guess ill have to find out later tonight.

I kind of like the spokes with that little groove in them... without the groove, i think the spokes would look too much like the same shape as the Stocks.....

I like the rubber onthose tires too.... good looking tread pattern.. ( i know that doesnt matter but i think its cool)

Yes thats very true. But im a fan of the polished edges witht he bolts all around. Plus there is a centercap that has the same bolt pattern around the edge, and thats a nice finishing touch. The only thing is, for the price, im getting a brand new set of performance tires and quality wheels, for a decent price and no waiting time. Its a tough call.

Going to have to go take a look at these tomorrow (too busy tonight). Im hoping this guy wants to make a deal here, but im still unsure of how they will look. $2500 can buy a lot of other things (aspec suspension for one).

THose are pretty dam nice rims I think. Has a nice polish deep lip on it. Plus you can never go wrong with 5spoke rims with studs. Personally I think they would look good on our TL. I just ordered the Jaz Trinity (same as Axis Milanos) with FK451 tires. Those tires go for around $300 each. I say go for it if they are brand new.

Here is the link to tire review for FK-451's.

http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews...e_reviews.html

The review got 4.2 out of 5 which is pretty good score.

Yea the guy lives on the exact opposite side of the city, about as far away as I can get, but the plus is if I want them, I just have to drive over and get them, no shipping time.

Personally, I have the Faulkens Azenis ST-115's and the Falkens definitely have a softer sidewall than I like. Tire wear has been about 22k normal driving miles.

Thought about and took a good look at them, but they just are not my taste. One hell of a deal, but just not right for me. Dont think im going to go ahead with the deal, although if they were powder coated black or gunmetal, I wouldnt wait a second.
