Question Thoughst/ideas on Painting the 17" Acura 5 stars that came on 04-06 TL's

new wheels are not in my future anytime soon, so i thought i should refinish/paint my stocks to hold me over for some time... questions come in as to what color? I have Abyss blue pearl,

i think the "stock color" on the wheels is boring. I've seen them in black and i'm not fan.

A brighter silver? White? Gold/bronze? i just don't know.. what color have you guys done yours in? and if you haven't done it,, what color do you think would go good with the color of my car? thanks

Question

here's a side pic if someone is willing to photochop some colors onto the wheels.. obviously this is an older pic before my headlights and tint was done,, so take that into consideration as well..

The color in the pic is nice. I would go with black, gunmetal, dark red, or dark blue.

Black and call it a day.

Acutally maybe its the wheel gap that is killin the 5 stars... Do not paint your rims and leave it stock height because you and US will say its

hey ron.. a drop IS in my cards soon, but the black,, i just can't picture it on my car,, but on the other hand,, i would assume they are easier to keep clean looking.. my brembos throw off SO much brake dust,, i was actually considering brake dust sheilds

i was kinda thinking the same thing,, i see alot of dark blue cars around my area with gold/bronze looking wheels and they always look great to me.. NOT bright gold,, on the darker side if you know what i'm talking about

gave it a bath, cleaned the wheels best i could, i just don't like the stock color of the wheels at all...car currently looks like this .. oh btw.. that isn't a chunk of my wheel missing in this first pic lol.. after i took the pics i realized some of the tire shine i wiped on got on the edge of the rim.. the wheels are far from perfect tho,, that's why i want to refinish them, and change the color... color choices??

not for nothing.. but why does everyone do the black wheels?

i get it looks good on silver, white and black,, but Blue?? no i don't think so ,, if it was an aftermarket wheel that was black with a polished lip,, then yea i could see it workin on my car,, but it's the STOCK wheel.. no lip...

i'm going bronze/gold on this situation

nice man! spend that refund!

if you are still accepting input, i wouldn't do gold...
with your car's colour, it would look like an STi to me.

my advice to you,
I would go with Paint Code NH-546M Kaiser Silver same as PPG 5303 which is the Honda Paint Code for the Integra Type R wheels.
I just called my local paint center and had them mix up a spray paint can with the paint. Cost me $16.85 for 1 can.
I just painted my SI wheels this past weekend and will be painting my TL wheels here soon. Hope this helps out

IMHO gold or bronze would look best on that color TL.
