For those that ride on 225/55/16 tyres...
I know it fits on wheels of 6.0-8.0 inch wide. But do any of you feel sluggish and sensitive riding on the extra wide tyres?
Fitting doesn't mean proper usage. I am not very happy with my new Dunlop Asymetrical SP5000's on my 00' TL. It's more bouncy and sensitive on uneven road surfaces. Slalom and sharp turns become less nimble than 205's.
Do any of you feel the same way?
Anyway, I am running 32 psi cold right now all around. What PSI do you run that best worked out for you?

errr, I think you should post this question in the "wheels and Tires" forum section... The Moderator will probably move it there for you anyhow.
I have ContiExtreme Contact 225/55/16 and I love them. Great traction in the snow, zillion times better cornering grip than the stock MXV4, and no increase in road noise, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise to me seeing how much more agressive the Conti treads are. I got the Contis after reading many happy reviews from these boards. I guess you shoulda done some reading up before you made your purchase. If you got your tires from Tirerack.com, I think they give you a 30 day satisfaction guaranty. I know my Contis had that, but it may have been the manufacturer's promo in conjunction with tirerack.

i run 225's and the handeling is through the roof compared to the stock size. try running higher inflation. i usually run 38-40 in the front and 36-38 in the rear.

I got same Dunlop tires just two weeks ago.
I have same feeling as Mugen has.
Handling is more heavier, sensitive...
37 front and 35 rear psi.
32 might be too low.

you are going to have a more sensitive feel due to the wider tire. thats part of having a wider tire. you will get a little more "slap" out of expansion joints, turn in should be sharper, low speed the steering sould be a little heavier but not much.
