best bet is to enter the current year of your make and model (beginning with 2007 if you don't have any luck), and then maybe factory, stock, or oem wheel

why do you ask? bad wheel?

949 if you are looking for some '07 TL wheels that are in excellent shape, no curb rash, and they have 255/40-17 Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position tires on with 9000 miles, I am getting ready to list them on the Black Market as soon a I receive my A-specs on Monday August 4. PM me if you are interested. My avatar pictures shows the wheels and tires I am talking about.

The DoverDE dealership accessories guy is offering me a set of these rims with P6 FourSeasons for $700.
He claimed the tires were OEM. True?

The rims and tires were take-offs, with maybe 20 miles on them.
Would my mileage suffer with this wider tire? Ride would be a bit harder?

All write-ups I've seen blast the P6 as a crappy tire. True?

The Michelin Primacys I want are not made in this size; that's a reason not to change up.
However, I like to get all the facts first.

yes wider tires do slightly decrease mileage because there is more surface contact with the road = friction/drag

lower profile- the aspect ratio of width to sidewall height= a little harsher ride
Bigger sidewall profile acts like a ballon

for good tire info try www.tirerack.com

As far as I know Acura hasn't used Pirelli tires on any of it's cars from the factory. Only Bridgestone or Michelin Tires.

Gas mileage will suffer slightly as the tire is going to be wider which will require more power to get moving, however if the combo is lighter than your old rim and tire combo it might cancel out or you might even gain gas mileage

FYI if your TL uses a 205/50/15 tire, going with a 245/45/17 tire will be the exact same rolling diameter as your old tires so your speedometer and odometer will be 0% off! It's pretty rare to see it match up like that! As well the serenity is made in that size

Yes, but I brought it up, via search function, because of the rim part number.

I think I've scored a set of '03 16"s, so perhaps I'm not going to go with these 17s.

Yes, the Perelli didn't appear oem. Why Steve is trying to shuck those tires at me, who knows.
