Teins to bouncy on the rear?

I hear all kinds of noise of rubbing metal in the rear where the top hats screw into the rear. Idk maybe its just the tein (basics) are made to be soft damper on the rear.. but its to bouncy for my ride. Is that normal? My friend has a gsr and skunk 2 coils and his ride is nice and firm. not soft and bouncy. i know they are both different manufacturer, but i thought the use of sport tuned suspension is to make it firmer? any inputs how to fix the bounciness, maybe adjust it lower. (i have it on the 7th teeth from the bottom on the rear). Inputs are appreciated. Thanks

Wouldn't you want to adjust the dampening to stiffen up the ride

basics are "non" adjustable

OP, did you buy them used or new?

basics are set to what the middle settings are for the ss (i think, dont quote me on that) regardless, my ss-p at any setting are not bouncy at all. sounds to me like they are worn out =/

These are used set from meek.. yeah the washer are in there correctly, when i installed them. But for some reason everyone (locally) told me to jus set it all the way down to see if any changes happen and see if that might stiffen it up a bit more. Are they for real? Cause dropping it all the way means scrapping every little speed bump lol.. thats a 2.4 inch drop all the way around.. im around 1.7 now.

I believe they are feeding you BS. But I have no technical facts to back that up.

I think the Tein's may be bad sir. Because Basics have no adjusting. Just ride height.
Might be the reason why Meek was selling them?

the ride should be tight and firm. sounds like either a bad install or the shock needs to be rebuilt. you definitely shouldn't be hearing metal rubbing noises.

Nothing wrong with them to my knowledge. I originally wasn't selling them because of how much it would cost to take them off but no one was biting on my exhaust -[surprising the thing Im holding onto now.] I don't know what the metal rubbing might be but i never heard anything like that before.

for others: The reason I sold was because I was having vibration in the front of my car and the mechanic I went to check it out gave me all these other reasons and things it could be and I just threw my hands up and said Im done with modding now. I can't afford it right now like i use to. Come to find out - it was a bent rim after they uninstalled everything. This is the reason I use to do all my work on my car because of dumb stuff like this but anyways - ranting. Nothing should have been wrong with them to my knowledge. Everything[the ride quality and visually inspection] was fine when they came off.

Yeah, im not throwing any accusations that you sent me a fubar teins. Maybe its just the install. Just narrowing the chances that it might be blown, a bad install or even just missing a washer. (it could be that small of a mistake to make them squeek or bounce) I will be talking to the auto shop to see if they followed the tein installation manual to the dot. either way thanks for chiming in meek

No prob. Good luck. The only sqeeking I have had on my car was after installing my comptech rear sway bar but that was years ago ( my first mod to the TL) and fixed with greasing the bushing. It you had to in hook any other stuff just double check to see if anything shifted like I know the rotors have break shields on the front - not sure if on the back but keepnus updated and again Again GL with the finding the issue/solution
