you can buy OK parts- OR
you can get parts that are made with the highest quality, and adjustment is a breeze.
When people that sell parts- and they can get anything you really want- when they say- noooo wait till this other one is available....
they may have had failures on negative results with the requested brand
those guys know parts and want happy customers

I've heard that megan coilovers come from the same factory that ApexI n'1's come from. I compaired the 2 face to face and they look very similar, just different colors.
On the other hand, I remember seeing megan "JDM" products on ebay for my integra. Back then they sold coilovers for like $299. Now they are $800 +

I've been planning on getting coilover for awhile now, deltaboxxx has the Megan's and they appear nice and he loves them. On the other hand I've just google searched and found many posts/threads on other sites saying negative things. Also vendors like heeltoe and 2 local shops told me no on Megan's. So with all the possible negatives I'd rather go with something from Tein or a koni + progress spring combo. Still undecided......

I'd consider Megans for a cheap car that needed shocks that I wanted to lower. Like if I had an integra beater or something.
Are the BAD? No, no specficially. But they certainly aren't that great either. Tein's product and Megan might both be ok on the street initially. However Teins will take a lot more abuse. They will stand up to harder driving like moderate track use, and 2-3 years down the road when the Megans are so-so the Teins will be going strong.
Teins can be rebuild also. So if in the future they do wear out, we can have them refurbished to perform just like new. Likewise if you get the inkling to tinker with the valvine and spring rates, we can do that too.
So while the Megans are cheaper, and they certainly will work, they are not the best product to buy, especially for a $30,000 heavy car. Teins have a higher degree of performance and quality to go along with the extra cost. In short:
We choose fast and good.

And Group 5 Motorsport and Pan America are vendors for both Megan and Tein, so this was an unbaised vendor opinion. Marcus at Heeltoe has never said anything but an opinion that is tried and true based on his long and vast experiences with modding cars. Hes a great person to meet in person and talk to, he did my RacingBrake upgrade last year.
You can't argue the fact that Teins can be rebuilt if anything happens or that their track record on 3rd Gen TL is great. Although Megans have a great chance of being a viable option for 3rd Gen owners, there isn't a list of individuals currently testing the Megans (yourself.....and 1 person currently selling them on the BM)

he didnt even put them on his car actually lol..
i agree..marcus didnt say they were "crap" so i apologize if it seems like i was putting words in his mouth..
i heard about group 5 last night actually..
and im not sure if megan rebuilds theirs so i couldnt say ..
the edfc is DEF a fun looking toy but i couldnt force myself to spend another 350 on it..
edit: unless i bought a car that had more than only superstreets to choose from, like my buddys STI with FLEX + EDFC
and i have purchased from marcus before (comptec SS and camberkit)
and i have nothing bad to say about him whatsoever.
there is on the other hand another 3rd gen on here that has megans on his car,his is a WDP and he says he loves them as well.

I was just going off the fact that the guys said they were used 2 weeks in the BM sale thread, so I thought they were used.
Now I think I remeber the WDP with the megans. I know there are quite a few options, but it all comes down to personal disgression on what is gonna fit you best. I know that I'd be happy with the Megans ride wise after riging in your car, but 6-12 months from now I'd say damn I wish I could add something like edfc as a new toy. I just like how you can build on the Teins.
