I felt like that too actually but they were set way too soft, after adjustment, all better.

I have them that soft because of the horrible roads out here in the city, I have taken a ride in my friends TL on full stiff and I like it!.....the only complain I have is when my car is full of people ,which it never is.
Other than that still riding perfect after more than 1+ year....
I would categorize this as more of a comfort coilover than peformance but on full stiff is not bad at all.

2008 TL Type-S
I saw a lot of people went with the base model bushings, I just reused my S bushings and I dont regret it one bit... like I said these are definitely soft enough already lol

2008 TL Type-S
I hope lol I gotta pull the rear seat asap, I went down a concrete freeway and the expansion joint in the road was making me dizzy from the back bobbing up and down.

How do you guys think this compares to the BC BR coilovers? I'm debating between these two at the moment. I plan on daily driving and will probably not track my car. I don't plan on slamming my car as well.

I purchased the Tein Street Advance Coilovers about 4 months ago for my 07 TL-S and I'm happy with them. Started off a little stiffer for my liking but after some adjusting I got it where I want. Also wanted to give Marcus at Heeltoe a big Thanks for the Awesome customer service and tips for installing these myself when I ran into a snag. Will definitely purchase from again soon, since Im in need of a J-pipe now.

question about height adjustment
Forgive me for my noob experience, I currently purchased a set of Tein Street Advance coils for my 05 acura TL. I'm waiting to install them after winter as my stockies are back on. I'm totally new to this and I'm wondering if my fellow acurazine members can point me in the right direction. I'm only looking to drop 1" all around as I'm getting new rims 19x8.5 front and 19x 9.5 rears. How do I know the correct setting to have an 1 inch drop all around? For example starting from the very bottom of the thread, should I measure 1" (from the bottom of the thread) for the front and 3/4" for the rears? Not trying to go too low cuz of crappy NYC roads. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you guys soon!

I'd start off at full soft and then go towards stiff about 20 clicks.

You're welcome!
Keep in mind, the feel is subjective from person to person, so what I think is similar to OEM may be different to you.
That's the awesome part about coilovers! Test drive it before you button everything back up and adjust accordingly!

Mine are set to almost full soft and maxed out in the shock travel for almost 70k miles and 5 years and they still ride like a dream...recently had 4 full grown men in my car for a 70 mile trek over various terrain and they still ride perfectly.

Hmmm...well, I was only stock for 1 month, and I'm not friends with anyone with stock suspension since those aren't the type of people I like to associate with...
BUT, that said, I feel like it's comfortable in comparison to my S2000 and also to my fiancee's old 8th gen accord on h&r springs on stock shocks. Still rides phenomenally well.
and she sitting perfect!

The way I learned how to adjustable shock dampening/rebound is set at full stiff.
turn knob clockwise until the last click[full stiff] and then go for a drive for a bit.
And when you come back turn knob counterclockwise until last click [full soft] and
then go for a drive, then you will have a better understanding how the car reacts
to full stiff and full soft. This is when you start to make the adjustments you like.
It does take time for these adj, but it's a good learning experience and knowledge.

Are there only two top hat options, this and the Type S? I just want to make sure I order the right parts for maximum comfort. I have an 06MT.
