Tein S TEch? Tein high tech? Eibach? Comptech?

ok...I got quote of $215 shipped for eibach prikit which drops 1 inch...same as comptech( same drop but quality??) and high tech for 0.6 f and 0.7 r for $150 shipped.. comptech is $240 flat from local performance shop in Queens NY. or tein s tech for 1.2 F and 1.3 R $145 shipped in ebay store.....tell me your opinion...the shop told me that I have to change the shock but somebody told me that i don't have to if i drop less than 1.5 inches.. and also local shop asking around $150 to install. how is it...tell me your opinion.. am I paying to much to install? and which spring should I get? I only see peop with A-spec or comptech spring..nobody did install other brand yet? i don't wanna be a tester oh.. i'm picking up 18 inches A-spec wheel darker one

I'll not consider tein high tech... i think dropping 0.6 inches is not worth for that couple of hundreds...

shut do I really must change the shocks??? every shops are telling me that I can only ride around 20000miles,, all they say tha I must change the shocks sooner or later.......

I think the high tech or the A-spec would be a nice drop and let you keep your ride quality. Any of the others will wear your shocks sooner and won't have quite the ride quality.

It is true that you do not need to change your shocks if dropping less than 1.5" although keep in mind that your shocks will just wear out faster and you can change them out after 20-25k instead of the 30-40k miles. As for eibach vs comptech vs etc....Eibach is known for a VERY VERY stiff ride. Comptech on the other hand is a very excellent ride. Noticably stiffer than stock but enjoyable to ride on. Never sat in an a-spec so I wouldn't know. Tein makes good quality coilovers, not sure about springs though.

it's recommended to change shocks and struts around that time. Warranty does not cover them because it is a wear and tear item.

so...peop who installed eibach or comptech spring...how many finger gap do you guys have with 18 inches ??? I think Tein H tech(0.6) and comptech(1 inch) or eibach spring will be about 1 finger difference....
I have 2000 honda accord 4cy with neuspeed sport spring(1.7 drop) and I still have 2 fingers gap(about 1inch)..but this is only 1 inch drop...

I hav the comptech springs w/19's though. I have almost no gap in the rear and maybe a 1 finger int he front. The ride quality is still smooth and it handles better in the corners. i would recommend comptech to anyone because you get to keep yur warranty if dealer installs and the car still rides smooth.

Tein makes great products, expecially with their basic damper and SS systems. As for just springs, I would go with the Comptech because of the fact that the products are made especially for our make of car. If you can afford it, go with the Tein systems, otherwise, stick with Comptech.

By the way, as for the Eibach/Competch comparo, I have heard more than one person on these forums say that they are made in the same factory. Not sure if that is true, but I have had both types, and prefer the comptech.

if dealer doesnt install the comptech spring, can not be covered by warranty? the dealer quoted for 680$ to change spring..they are crazy...I got one shop who is gonna install it for $120 but didn't decide yet which spring
