i searched and found lotsa info but none of which exactly answered my question..

so what do you guys think about riding on springs + oem suspension? i saw a lot of people said it was fine for them and others aid you need to get new shocks with new springs..

i also read you could ride around with s-techs and oem shocks for bout a year before you needed new shocks but also read that you shouldnt if your shocks are already old.. i have 60k on my car/shocks

is it cool to put on just springs?

nope... they will go out pretty quickly... member on here has had stech's on type s struts and he is reporting they are failing before 20k

do you plan on keeping the stock suspension for returning to stock? if you don't, then put the STechs on, but as stillhere said, your stock shocks will fail soon since they have 60k on them already.

 

Do it right the first time. You're not going to want to take out the backseat again. Get some struts. I made this mistake on my Integra with Ground Control coils and the struts blow very quickly due to the higher spring rate and increased compression from the lower.

 

you can do STechs + Konis. several members have that setup.

I've got s.techs and my lease is up in Feb of 2011. Does this mean my shocks will blow before 30k miles?

 

most likely, its a lease, enjoy it until then!!!

 

I got the s.techs b/c I was sure that the stocks would last up until 30k. If they blow I'm facked, I'll have to put the stock springs back on ($150), get the struts replaced under warranty, then put the s.techs back on (another $150). Damn.

 

Not a thread hijack or anything but how about s-techs on A-Spec suspension?

 

that is why you put on konis and jus revert it back to stock and then sell them....
