Tein coilovers/springs are stiffer in general.

They ride pretty good because they are softer than most lowering springs. Ride height is good. I have only had them on for about 2-3 weeks and have stock shocks. No camber kit...

It seems to me that this thread has 2 opposing comments about the Tein S springs. I am thinking about putting them on my car as well and now I am confused because one person said something negative and the other said something positive. I was told that as springs go the Tein company is the best right now, especially since their springs are progressive technology which means it rides the most like stock when you are driving normal and then gets hard if you are driving very aggressive. Please repost as well as provide a picture if you have these on.

Well I said they're garbage because I had them for about 9 months and they were just too soft for me. I was looking for something sportier and got race springs instead.

If what you're looking for is strictly lowering without any extra stiffness, these are what you need.

Ok, I guess it depends how you look at it. I wanted the ride height lowered but did not want the car to ride like a go-cart. Handling is still improved a little over stock but not as much as a stiffer spring. On the other hand I have cavities and I do not want my fillings to jar loose cause dental work is expensive.

Well ifirahse thank you for the clarification. Back when I was 18, I would love nothing more than some race springs, but being married has changed my views, but I still like the racing look of a lowered vehicle. Like I said, if any of you have these springs on, please post a picture so I could see how much lower the look is.

TL Advanced, great looking car man... and you apparently live close to me. I am in Gainesville. Are there ever any Acura meets around ?

Thanks MiG! Stiff in terms of springs usually means they don't give much so the ride is rough, but handles well (like a go-cart). These are softer therfore smoother ride. Let's get a meet together.

You should ride in TLs with different suspension to get a better feel. It's hard to decide until you have actually experienced the different combos. People have different ride comfort levels.

I'm running S-tech's on stock struts, with 19s and i love the combo, i do not have a camber kit and so far had no wear issues with the tires everything is in spec. The ride is very nice, honestly i don't think its any worse than stock everyone that rides in the car is surprised at how well it rides knowing its been lowered.

it all depends on the condition of your struts and the roads where you live. Glad you like the combo.
