Hi Guys,

There is a problem with my EDFC. It randomly turns itself off a few seconds after I turn it on. Also, even when its powered off, it randomly beeps. The beeps are becoming more and more frequent. Probably beeped 10 times on my 10 min morning commute today.

I tried contacting Tein, but they decided it wasn't necessary to respond to me.

Any Ideas?

 

Its possible that your power supply or ground circuit is loose causing the EDFC to turn on initially but not enough power to keep it on. The constant beeping could be an intermittent continuity of that circuit. If possible retrace your harness and make sure everything is secure. Good luck.

 

I agree, you need to check all connections, one loose connection to the step motor can cause the beeping. What does the display say when you hear it?
Also the problem with turning off, its is almost 100% a power or ground connection.

 

It doesn't show anything on the display because it powered off. I got this installed a shop. I guess I could go back and ask them to take a look at it.
