Exclamation Tein Basics vs. Tein SS vs. KSport Coilovers

Hey you guys, I'm looking for input from owners or by people who have had experience with any of these coilovers. Thanks.

I have Ksports, a bit stiff but doesn't bother me since I like to feel the road. Whenever I drive someone, they always comment on how bouncy it is.. definatley ruins the luxury ride. But when a twisty road hits, oh man how fun it is.

Have heard good things about the Tein SS setup, was considering them too.

I have the TEIN Basics. Stiffer, but not harsh. So far I'm really impressed. Go for the SS though if you can afford it!

I have the Tien SS w/ EDFC. Im very happy with the set-up. best of both worlds cuz of the adjustability w/ the EDFC. stiff setting for a sporty aggressive driving experience or softest setting for a very close to stock luxury smooth ride. w/ the perfect drop, because its up to you how low or high you want it. no regrets here i love my Tiens

Have you ever tried it on the stiffest setting? Ride quality aside, how does it handle/take turns? Does it pretty much get rid of the body roll and stuff?

i have the 3 preset buttons to stiffest, middle, and softest. when i get on the freeway i set it to stiffest. it handles awesome takes the turns great i also have a progress RSB on it. i feels like i could take a turn going 80 mph easily thats how stable it feels. 0= body roll

you can just adjust it while driving? I always pull over to adjust it hahaha. I guess I'm scared of damaging the damper.

Tein SS is pussy ****, unless you're old or have back problems.

Get KSport if you want something stiffer, for more performance oriented.. still underdampened, but it does the job.

SS or Basics if you're just looking for a silly stock boat ride with a drop.

Ksport is way better, fully threaded vs partially threaded FTW
Better ride in almost every situation over Tein SS, better spring rates, better dampening and cheaper. Im glad I got rid of my Tiens and thats after I upgraded my springs from the 7/4 to 8/6 level. Ksports are 12/7

I bought my Tein SS coilovers from Excelerate for $1080 shipped and installed them myself saving $350. I was quoted $530 for EDFC to be added out the door.

When I first put on my Tein SS I left them set at the firmest setting to see how firm the car would ride. Answer=Quite Firm. I then reset the shocks to the middle damping and now my car rides great for being 1.5" lower F&R. The Tein SS coilovers can lower your car from 0.9"-2.3".

I have done just the Eibach Pro springs before, liked the 1" drop, but hated the ride over big bumps or RR tracks.

Tein SS KICK @$$ IMO. Save and get them, you won't be dissapointed.

I have Basics now... they seem ok... but I guess I would rather have adjustability even without EDFC... But the basics are feeling kind mushy as of late. I'm gonna look into either H&R or Eibach as my next setup. No one has Eibach's it seems, and they are made by KW.
