Tein Basic Coilover Question?
I have tein basic coilovers for my 04 Accord V6, my friend was thinking about buying them for his 07 Tl type S. I was reading on the tein website the specs on both the suspensions and the differences. The rear suspension part numbers and spring rates are the same for both the 04 accord and 06 Tl. But the front suspension part numbers are different and have different spring rates, the accord has 9/504 spring rate and the TL has a 12/671, is this because the Tl has stiffer springs to hold more weight? Can the fronts be installed no problem on the Tl or make a difference? Also is the 07 TL type s suspension compatible with the 06 TL suspension? I have performed searches on this site and found several helpful threads but not the answers to my questions, if someone has done this or has any helpful input it would be appreciated!

We are seeing that 99% of all the 04-06 TL studd is the same on the 07 TL. Fitment is not a concern.
I am almost positive the sus from the Accord will fit the TL. The rate difference has to do with the fact that the Accord sus is designed for both 4 and 6 cyl apps, and the TL is just 6 cyl. Also, I expect consideration was given to the fact that the Accord is less of a sports sedan than the TL, so naturally the TL will have a more aggressive spring.
I would anticipate that the Accord front springs would need to be preloaded for the car to sit properly on a TL. But I think it should work. Worst comes to worst, we can supply new springs and revalving on the damper for a reasonable cost. Call or PM for details.
