Sway Bars

I've been on excelerates web site looking for upgraded sway bars for my 04. Can you all let me know what your using, did you do front and rear. Also I don't want to lower my car. Stock right height is feine for me.

Progress adjustable rear sway set on the soft setting.

You really don't want to do the front, it requres dropping the subframe. I did replace the front bushings with urethane which seemed to make a small difference.

One thing for sure, with the rear swaybar and a-spec springs, the tail will come out now. I was going into a double left turn lane, took the inside lane very hard and the rear stepped out a lot. The guys who are running this swaybar in the stiff setting don't know what they're getting themselves into.

Sigh.... I so miss the Miata when it comes to losing the rear end in turns. I suppose it was a lot more controllable then when the car weighed about 1500 lbs less than the TL.

I hear that the Progress RSB is a popular choice.

Just the RSB will be fine. Adding a bigger front will increase understeer.

I just ordered the type S front swaybar for $68. It's a lot stiffer than the auto base bar.

Understeer is not a problem when you have a large rear bar like the progress. I'll probably have to go from the soft setting to the medium or firm to balance it out after the front install but I'm not worried about understeer in the slightest.

I'm doing this to increase high speed stability. Still not happy with it after all these mods. It handles great around town but there's just not enough spring rate for higher speeds.
