Talking Suspension

Hello,

Im just trying to get everyone's perspective on whats a good coilover kit. Im looking to drop my car before the summer. Ive read mixed things about all of them, brands being HTSpec Type 2, Eibach Pro Street, or Tein SS. At first I was set on Tein but ive read different things about all the others so just want to hear it all in one post. I know HeelToe promots his product a lot and well but im just wondering if its just that "promoting". I have read some people here very satisfied with there suspension.

Now if i do get the HTSpec Type 2 whats the difference between the spring selection? Also i have been hearing a lot of people complain about banging noise's, that isnt normal correct? only noise change you should hear is just road noise correct? I dont want to be driving and all i hear is a banging noise when ever i hit a bump.

please search as there is about 1000 of these threads asking this exact same question. Sorry I am not helping you out here because I don't have coils so can't talk from personal experience. Just press the search button up top there and I am sure you will get some answers. It just takes time.

Ya i have read and searched but nothing is really like a review. People just say well hey I like it or something like that. im trying to get more of a review on things

You can check out megans.. i know theres a review for them. I have them and they are comfortable for daily driving and havnt come across any problem w/ knocking

damping = well worth the extra benjamins!

and the knocking usually comes from loose endlinks... had an issue w/ knocking when i had the type 1 but F2 is taking care of that and replacing the dampers

are those nismo wheels staggered? They look great on your car. I almost picked up a set but they were sold as I was on my way to get them. I don't think you should change them, just drop the car and rock those.

Ya there 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. Ill be selling them once i get my new rims, but without tires. I do love them cause there light but needed something new.

Thanks, ya i have read a lot of good things about megans be then Mr. Heeltoe kinda shot them down for me. i mean he doesnt totally bash them but he kinda made it seem like they dont support there product.

he doesnt cause he supports his own product and teins... lol but megans arnt bad at all... many of us here have em on our 3gs

Ya he pushes his product hardcore.. Im kinda shying away from the Tein SS now cause you have to remove the strut bar

you have to remove it if you want to run the EDFC, if you don't then you don' need to remove it.

^ well then you did your research my friend. But did you know that there is a RV6 strut bar that was designed as a replacement for the stock one which also has room for the motors. Look into it, I think it's only like 100$ or somewhere around there.
