RSB makes a huge difference in handling. Keeps the car flatter when cornering and can even cause oversteer in extreme situations when it's on the stiffest setting (progress bar).

Do a search, maybe on progress or progress sway bar and you'll find a lot of info.

+1

Probably the best suspension bang-for-the-buck there is.

I am a newbie at modding car. What is the different between sway bar and strut bar? and how does it helps with handling? Is it a good idea to get front and rear sway bar ? I have a 07 TL base with nav.

A strut bar is a frame brace. It stiffens the frame, has nothing to do with the suspension or body roll. Our cars already have one, there is no benefit to an aftermarket one.

Sway bar is a torsional spring that ties the left and right sides together. It's part of the suspension A little stiffer is ok but too stiff and not enough spring will have it's own handling issues. Stiffer in the rear will make it more tail happy. Stiffer in the front will increase understeer.

You don't say if yours is an auto or manual. The manual transmission cars got larger swaybars. A Progress rear sway bar with the stock auto front swaybar will make the car a little tail happy, I've experienced this. With the manual front bar, it should be about right with the rear bar in the soft setting.

Tail happy, a little yes. I'm using Richie's strut bar and Comptech's sway bar. I have a good amount of understeer (assuming I understand the concept). The rear has a tendency to come out; I've only experienced this ONCE around an almost 90 degree corner. I almost peed my pants though...

apologize for such an old thread but is this true? most people on azine say rear sway bars are completely worth it. is the stock 14mm just as effective as the aftermarket 22 mm?

Rear sway, very worth it. Strut bar, not worth it. Front sway bar, worth it if you do the rear sway bar too.

Strut bar and Sway bar are not the same thing.

Best reason (IMHO) for an aftermarket strut bar is so you can fit the Tien EFDC control to the front strut.
