Stock height vs. Springs

Ok, my whip is one of the three TL's at my office. Mine being an 04 manual, an 06 or 07 automatic which parks next to me everyday, and a TL-S which is usually parked close by. I noticed that my car is quite a bit lower than the automatic which sits next to me. There's a big different, the top of my side mirror comes to the bottom of his side mirror. So it made me wonder..."Could my car have lowering springs or possibly coilovers (doubt it) from the previous owner!?!? So I took a look behind my wheels, but I just see regular ol black springs. .....are there any tell tell signs that I could have aftermarket springs? There is still a decent space between my fender and the top of my tire.

You could possibly have Aspec suspension installed by the previous owner... Do u have a base TL? Is your TL Aspec ?

The VIN doesn't reflect what suspension is currently on the car.

This doesn't sound right. From what your describing with the mirrors, one car is roughly 3" lower than the other.

Tire condition, tire size/specs, wheel size, crap in the trunk/vehicle weight also will effect ride height.

There's nothing in my trunk, wheels are factory size, I don't see how pics will tell me the if the suspension is aftermarket or not, but I'll try to get some....my front tires are in bad shape tho, but that much lower?

Joey, post up some pictures, but try to get pictures behind the wheels, if possible.

I just went up to the Acura dealer to try and get a pic of mine next to another 3G and of course the ONLY 2 they had on the lot were parked in the middle of all the 4G's.....smh. I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow if I can get one of mine and the one that parks next to me at work. I'm getting new tires put on this weekend too, so I'll try to take some pics of the suspension with the wheel off as well.

Tire size could affect height slightly.

No, but there's no way that's a stockcar. It has to be lowering springs or coilovers if it's truly 3 inches of difference.

With my factory Aspec suspension and 18" Aspec wheels on my 04 6MT the height was 26.25" front and 26" rear (measuring from level ground up to the bottom of each fender through the center of each wheel). Just get some measuring tape and see what you got. The autos ride a shitload higher than manuals do

just wasted my time to find the pics you posted before....your car looks 100% normal, it is NOT 3" lower than other TL's...are you kidding me?

if its a real a-spec then it should have the a-spec suspension which lowers the car by almost an inch
