Stance F/R (rake) and weight distribution question..

okay question,,,
does it look like it has rake??

second question.

does it look so bad that it'll negatively affect handling??
i'm going to test it out in a few weeks when the damn camber kits from heeltoe finally arrives after 11 business days lol

but just wanted to ask for opinions..

not gonna tell you what suspensions are in yet... because once i do, you guys will focus on flaming that rather than giving me opinions lol

Yes, it has a slight forward rake; it shouldn't affect handling. Having a camber kit won't help correct rake.

What coilovers did you get? I hope you didn't get those cheap eBay ones.

i bought 07 type S MT suspension with 15k miles, very cheap from black market.
then realized the MT front suspension don't sit level left-to-right in the front (because of heavy AT in my car)
so i just bought front A specs that "fits" my car

i read AT type S is 14% stiffer, MT S is 30% stiffer than base 07.

and personally like the feel of stiffness front = rear as a daily driver.

i will check it out in the twisties near greenville or carolina motorsports park..

then will decide if i need to buy rear A specs and/or rear sway bar,, (OEM type S is cheap.. i am cheap) i know people love it but i have to see how it goes with my driving

and finally adjust camber. fun summer project. school's out in a month.

The rear doesn't looked dropped at all. TL's need to be lower in the front, 1/4 to 3/8 inch or so. When it's level the back looks like it's sagging. It's the shape and lines of the car.

the TL has a natural rake already....
I doubt you're changing the weight distribution

im' gonna take that as TL has natural "chassis" rake cuz OEM, front was higher in fender gap measurement

Front fender gap is cut higher giving the illusion that it has backwards rake

I also like a slight forward rake.

It tends to make the car lean more toward oversteer (or less understeer) which can be a good thing depending on your other suspension mods. You'll be fine with that little rake.

^ thanks. and about oversteer, i like it cuz zero-counter 4wheel "drift" is FAST.

since my DWSs are down to wear bars all around, i'm gonna take a day trip to Greenville soon and test it out. and if i don't like it i'll make changes.... if i have money LOL
