Springs for the TL

So far I've only seen the A-Spec, Comptech and Eibach suspension mod. What's your impression of each and which one is least floaty?

"floaty"? I think that will be dictated by your shocks.

just got the comptech installed....can for sure feel the difference on bumps but the handling is amazing compared to stock. Taking turns is a breeze without body roll and no as much nose dive.
i will post pictures tommrow

shorter springs mean higher rate springs, hence stiffer ride and better handling. did you get new shocks ??

oh, btw, Eibach makes the comptech springs, and from what info i have they are the same as Eibach 4044.140's (or maybe Nate from Comptech will chime in and enlighten us as to how the Comptech springs are different than 4044.140).

Don't forget that there are Tein products available also. Tein has two different kinds of springs as well as two different fully adjustable coil over systems avaiable. If you are going ot get shocks, I would just assume get the entire unit in one.

That being said, I have the comptechs, and enjoy a really high quality ride despite being lowered and on 19s.

I can only speak to the A-Spec suspension, which I really like. The handling has been improved and car feels much more "buttoned" down.

Who did you get to install your springs? I live in Woodbridge Va north of your location. How much did it cost you ?

I have Tein S-Tech's on my 3G TL. Doesn't feel floaty compared to stock. Even handles better than stock. Check out my sig for pix.

How about price wise? I was looking at Tein and they tend to be on the 1K side while Eibach is more on the 400 side...

You are not comparing apples to apples. The "1K" Teins you are looking at are most probably coilovers (the springs & the shocks). You can buy Tein springs (I think they are called S-tech or something) for around the same price as the Eibachs.

Eibachs are just springs. They do not have shocks for the TL. So far only Teins & the A-Spec kit provide stiffer shocks. I have not heard of any other manufacturer producing stiffer shocks as of yet...unless someone has some other info they would like to share.
