A-Spec Wheel Finishes
Am going to go for a set of A-Spec Wheels, but am not clear on the varions finishes available, or which would look best with my Black TL-S? Have also heard that some of the finishes fade and don't wear as well, which is of concern particularly in New England.
Any experience/recommendations? Pictures of the various finishes?

There used to be a few good posts that had pix of the A-Specs and Accessory wheels.
The original A-Specs and Sparkle Silver (Accessory) Wheels are flat.
The current A-Spec and Chrome-Look (Accessory) Wheels are shiny in appearance.
Don't trust eBay photos as they are often wrong and misleading. The problem is compounded by the fact that dealer parts departments don't always have these on display and rely on catalog descriptions.
I have the 200B models on the way which don't come with TPMS and are described as "Ebony", "Platinum", and sometimes "Black Chrome" depending on which year brochure you are looking at.

From what you say, it seems that the Chrome look would be/are better when compared to the Sparkle Silver, but again, its hard to tell with out pictures. Does "shiny" mean too shiny, and does "flat" mean dull or grey??
The other thing that confuses me is "Ebony", "Platinum" and "Black Chrome". I've seen the pictures of those and they look great, particularly on lighter colored TLs. But its unclear, does the name suggest that the inner part of the wheel is "black" or "darkened", and I can't tell that from the picture??
Also, I don't like the way the stock "gunmetal" finished wheels look on the TL-S. Especially with mine in black, they always look faded and dirty no matter how ofter I clean them. I wonder if the Ebony/Platinum/Black Chrome will end up being just more of the same.

There are no black chrome A-Spec wheels. The wheels are called "chrome look" and they are painted. Here is what they look like on a NBP TL-S. Directly in the sun they look very close to chrome. In the shade they have sort of a "black chrome" look.

Thanks, thats perfect. "chrome look" on black is the way to go.
SweetJazz, do you know what the part number is for the "chrome look"? How long have you had them and how they holding up to the elements?
Not sure what color car you have lavo, but I find the gunmetal oem wheels to be too dark on the black or dark TLs. They do however look great on the lighter colors.

An acura dealership is selling them brand new in box and I think they have 4 sets left.

I just got the sparkle silvers and they look great. They shine more than I thought they would in the sun light but look a little flatter in the shade. I've seen the chrome-look ones on an NBP and they look hot.

I am looking for a deal on the chrome look A-Spec also for a 05 TL. They seem to be one of the most expesive on Ebay anywhere from 1500-2000.
Looking to find a set for 12-1400 shipped or a package deal with tires.
SweetJazz they look great

Ebony (#200B)
Here are my Ebony A-Specs on AM...
Notice the color variation. Depending on the lighting, these look really hot especially when it starts to get dark. In bright light they have a very gunmetal shiny appearance.
They do not photograph well but IMO are the absolute best looking finish for these wheels. The old gunmetals are flat and make AM cars look bland.
