A-spec suspension users?

I dropped of my Tl today to have the deck-lip and a-spec suspension installed...When I got home I realized that a clear plastic bag with 2 bronze nuts had fallen out...does anyone know if these are an integral part of either install? im crapping my pants cause im far from the dealer and now have no car to bring it to them...they havent said anything bout it yet...anyone help out?

Probably the new lock-nuts used to secure the shock to the front lower a-arm. They can complete the job using the original nuts. Take them the new nuts when you get the car and they can quickly replace the nuts without taking out the shocks.

Don't worry about it. Those nuts are supposed to replace the ones that your dealer took off from the front suspension. They recommend using new ones but reusing the old ones should be fine so as long as they are tightened to spec. I didn't use the new ones on mine either and my suspension is just fine.

Tis true, the old nuts are fine...no problems here, either. Got mine from Acura of Escondido.

How much are you guys paying to have it installed? i have a few quotes and they all seem a bit high. I would be curious to see what everyone else is paying. I have seen around $600 to have it installed...does that seem on target?

I got mine from Falconi Acura too for $625. Install shouldn't be more than $300-$350.

I live in Boston but did the install myself. Acura of Boston wanted 6 hours of labor at $90/hr. You may wanna check out local speedshops and ask for quotes. There is RPM Motorsports on Brighton Ave. not too far from Autozone the does alot of aftermarket work.

How bad was the install? I was thinking about having someone other than the dealer do it, I just fear the warranty implications. I have heard good things about RPM and a few others in the area. 6 Hours seems like a lot... I was quoted about the same from Sunnyside in NH.

If you've ever done suspension work, it shouldn't take you more than 4 hours. I took about 7 or so, but that included lunch, stopping to listen to the radio, goofing off, etc...and I had never undertaken a project like this before. Having done it, I could do it in less than 4 hours on the TL, no problem.
