Snow tire fitment question

Snow tire fitment question
'05 TL with the 235-45/17 Michelin Pilots.
I have a set of 205-55/16 Bridgestone Blizzaks that came off an Audi A6. TL is a couple hundred pounds lighter, so load capacity shouldn't be a problem.
But is the size a problem? I like the narrower tire for snow, but is the size too small?

one thing to keep in mind, the tire rack recommends 215/55/16 for 16" winter tires.

i think it is fine. you may want to call tire rack and ask the pros.
i say use up the remaining tread on the exiting winter tires. you can buy the bigger size for next year's winter.
