i really concern about the ride. will it be smooth or will it bounce alot if i lowered the car.

if i get rims only like 19-20 inch, will it still be smooth?

If you lower the car, the springs movement will be shortened which will result in a bumpier ride. How much, it all depends on the springs you install.

As for going with bigger wheels (19 - 20") this will reduce the tire's sidewall height which usually absorb some of the bumps. Since you are reducing the sidewall, it will results in a bumpier ride also.

As an added note, any potholes encountered with a 19 or 20" wheel while driving will increase the chance of damaging both the wheel and tire as compared to the OEM size wheels and tires.

So, if you want it smooth, leave the suspension and wheels in the stock size.

I have the TEIN Basic Coilover and my ride is a lot smoother and handles a lot better than before. Way less body roll and body dips when you stop. I lowered mine more than 2inches front/and rear and the ride is not bumpy at all. The best part about TEIN is you get the performance and not have to suffer your ride at the same time in most cases with other brands.

Are you saying you lowered the car 2" and your ride is smoother

Car rides more stable/less body roll and dips/grips to the ground/better control thru the bumps equals better ride quality.

that is going to = to "better handling", not ride quality
cuz its going to transfer all the bumps to the car...

Smooth ride if lowered? Simple answer...no.

You want smooth. Stay stock.

As far as 20's go, I was shocked at how smooth the ride is. I have 245/35 though......I may end up getting the Tein basics so I can get my drop just right. To low and I it will rub for sure.

I have the ASPEC suspension and 19's with Toyo Proxes 4's...my ride is just as smooth, if not smoother, than my 17's with the Bridgestones...the ASPEC didn't change the smoothness of the ride, just improved handling. Overall, the car is much better than stock. One thing to note is the ASPEC coilovers only lower the car about 1/2-3/4 of an inch.

But don't you all think with less body roll and dips results in better ride quality. Having more control effects ride quality too does it not? Is that not part of ride quality. Or maybe I am wrong to say ride quality but better handling that's for sure.
