Rotor screw loose, can't remove wheel?
Earlier today i tried removing my stock rims and putting my Type S rims on. I wasn't able to because one of the passenger side rotor screws is loose.
It won't allow me to remove the rim/wheel. Any idea what the problem is? Can i replace the screw? or do i need a new rotor? and how to fix? Thanks

i think what the OP is saying is that the stud is spinning with the lug nut so he cant remove it.
Sorry, I dont have any suggestions. Maybe try tightening it to "press" the stud back into the hub and then try undoing it again? Tightening it back might be difficult too.

Safety Car
That exact same thing happened to me a few years ago. They put the car on a lift and spot welded the stud in place behind the rotor just enough to get the lug off. Good luck

I just had this happen a couple days ago. I ended up drilling the stud out. It was surprisingly easy to drill out, maybe 2-3 minutes at most and that was taking my time so I didn't overheat the bit.

Also had this happen to me once on a different car. I had enough room behind the wheel that I could get a hacksaw blade in there and I wedged it against another stud. I then used a drill with a socket to turn the lug nut and wheel stud eventually cutting the stud off so I could remove the wheel and make the necessary repair. Took about 15 min so not too terrible of a job.

Yeah you are going to have to cut the back of the stud off and replace stud and lug nut.
I just read another member having to do this. Don't think there is an EZ solution to this problem.
If you are replacing wheels you could try to tighten it up if it will and keep tightening until it snaps but I honestly don't recommend that process.
Cutting from the back and punching the stud through is probably your best bet.

Yup I am a horrible reader or lack motivation to read everything.
But IHC is the member I read but he beat me to it and that was all after you got it fixed.
Good luck to you.
