Rim Question

I was looking into getting some 18x8 with a 45 offset. What should I wrap them in...

I have a Comptech.

Will I have major rubbing. Will I need a camber kit....

from my knowledge, if you're getting 8" width, you should aim for no less than +48-49 offset, +50 and higher is ideal though. +45 offset would be fine with a 7.5" width though. rubber i would say for a 8" width you would need 235-40-18, 225-40-18 for 7.5"... somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

my 18x7.5 ....offsets 48....and i rub with 3 people in the back...occasionally with 2 people....this isa fter i cut the tab....but my tires are also 225/45/18 so3s....thats size is bigger then stock..and the so3 are wider then most tires..because they come out past the rim...thick sidewall...

you'd be better off with 18x8...its not height your worried aobut..its width...8 inch width with a 45 offset isnt ideal...but if you run a 225 tire that doesnt have a thick sidewall (sometires stickout to protect rims like mine) then you could minimize rubbing..tab wil be somehtng you will definetly have to trim..worst is you'll have to roll your fenders...thats what i need to do...it doesnt seem like a big deal to me...if your gettng a good deal on these rims...i'd say why not...rolling your fenders will be the worst of it im pretty sure...
